Our pharmacy in the Earling clinic is now open Monday through Friday 8:30am to 12:00pm. Both Pexton Health Mart Pharmacies share the same computer system so you can pick up your prescription wherever it is most convenient for you. This shared computer system also allows us to keep a smaller inventory in Earling. Many of our refills will be filled in Harlan and made available the next morning in Earling. Some of the big chains do this “central fill” and Pexton’s is one of the few independent pharmacies in Iowa to do it! Our phone number in Earling is easy to remember. It’s the Earling exchange plus the same four last digits as our Harlan pharmacy number. Harlan is 755-2101 and Earling is 747-2101. Stop in and see what a brand new, started from scratch pharmacy looks like.

If you haven’t received your flu shot yet, you really should. Not only does it provide protection from influenza for yourself, but it also helps the people around you because you have less of a chance to give the flu to them. You can get your shot at Pexton Health Mart Pharmacy most days without an appointment. Just walk in and ask at the pharmacy. We do not bill insurance or Medicare, but at $22 we are the least expensive in town. Rick gives the vaccine (not Tina) so if Rick is working in the pharmacy you are good to go.
Ashley Arkfeld, one of our Harlan technicians and our office assistant successfully passed her test to become a Certified Pharmacy Technician. We are happy to announce our new Synchronized Refills program. We will help you get all your prescription refills synced up so they can be filled on the same day each month. About one week before your scheduled refill day we will contact you to make sure nothing has changed since the month before. Then we will fill your prescriptions so they are ready and waiting when you pick them up or have them delivered on your scheduled pickup day. The Health Across America bus will be making a stop at Pexton Health Mart Pharmacy on Tuesday 9/22/09 from 3PM until 6PM. The bus’ screeners will be providing FREE testing for Diabetes, blood pressure, and cholesterol. Pexton Health Mart Pharmacy is pleased to announce that our Diabetes Day screening and education event is almost here. Many of our diabetic patients received a mailing about this event which will be Thursday August 20th from 9am until 1pm. We are pleased to welcome Jan Hastert, Certified Diabetes Educator from Myrtue Memorial Hospital and Clinic, as well as representatives from Bayer and Novo two companies that are instrumental in the management of diabetes.
