We are happy to announce our new Synchronized Refills program. We will help you get all your prescription refills synced up so they can be filled on the same day each month. About one week before your scheduled refill day we will contact you to make sure nothing has changed since the month before. Then we will fill your prescriptions so they are ready and waiting when you pick them up or have them delivered on your scheduled pickup day. Let us help you take the worry out of remembering to fill your prescriptions. Plus you can reduce your trips to the pharmacy . . . unless you just want to stop in to say hello!

This economy has put the screws to everyone’s wallet (or purse) so we’re trying to do something about it. We have reduced our everyday prices on nearly every health item in our store. Whether you are looking for Tylenol, Metamucil, bandages, toothpaste, hand lotion, or vitamins, they are all priced lower than ever. If you compare our prices with anyone in town you will see that we are at or below their prices. Next time you need that bottle of aspirin stop in and see us.

Text messaging has become a valuable tool for communication for many people. Now Pexton Health Mart Pharmacy is offering refill requests by text. Text your refill requests or questions to (712) 579-5195. You can also be notified by text message when your prescriptions are ready to be picked up!

Health Across America Bus will be here 9/22/09!

The Health Across America bus will be making a stop at Pexton Health Mart Pharmacy on Tuesday 9/22/09 from 3PM until 6PM. The bus’ screeners will be providing FREE testing for Diabetes, blood pressure, and cholesterol. We are very pleased to be one of only a few Health Marts in Iowa to host one of these screening events. Here’s a YouTube video talking about it:

Pexton Health Mart Pharmacy is pleased to announce that our Diabetes Day screening and education event is almost here. Many of our diabetic patients received a mailing about this event which will be Thursday August 20th from 9am until 1pm. We are pleased to welcome Jan Hastert, Certified Diabetes Educator from Myrtue Memorial Hospital and Clinic, as well as representatives from Bayer and Novo two companies that are instrumental in the management of diabetes. Please join us on Thursday!

The people of Harlan have been enjoying Pexton’s free delivery for decades. Now we are happy to announce that together with Lehan Health Mart Pharmacy in Minden we are expanding our delivery area to include the towns of Westphalia, Earling, Panama, Portsmouth, Neola, Shelby, Tenant, and Minden. We will offer free delivery to the expanded delivery area twice weekly. Call us for details!
